continuation of entry-55
The answer to this above question is not some research work
done by me and the answer might sound didactic but no such intentions behind. Facing
harsh situations might not be same to everyone. Some go through it little
easily as of large family where the burden is shared. It is hard for them who got
no one but God to rely on. So the only attempt here is to share my maturation
after going through something quite traumatic. And the main reason for such trauma
was my approach to that event. The work done on self in order to deal with such
incidents with composure is the source behind these writings. This entry is my
quest to find out why at the moribund state we seek for peace desperately?
·
The interpretation of peace varies from one person to
another. For many of us, peace is invariably related to happiness and
happiness being the fulfillment of desires. The actualization of desires
provides pleasures. When the mind experience heightened state of joie de vivre
one feel this life incredible and claim
the experience being heavenly( not talking about mere carnal fulfillment, a
beautiful natural site can cause euphoria). So can we conclude congeniality
being peace? This maxim connotation does hold its ground only for those who
embrace materialism but these personals do reach a state where there left no
urge for satisfaction which further causes dissatisfaction and despair.
·
The real struggle is for the one who is bought
in an environment which tries to balances between materialism and spiritualism,
both. They do want to enjoy life but at
the same time want to keep their spirit pure. And the technique followed after
the ecstasy experience, for purification is nothing but dogmatic depictions.
Ecstasy followed by guilt is the-always-associated-feeling with them and giving
up guilt is equivalent to giving up on dreams. Reason being no matter how
pragmatic one become to not to pursue one’s quixotic dream, still a part of it
remains inside self and resurfaces with “what if I had pursued the road less
traveled” in the latter half of life. It’s really hard to make the mind free from
guilt-ridden thinking. It normally happens when one changes the ideals and
theories, political as well as religious. But to be at peace it is quite
existential to be free from guilt as it is most of the time main cause of
suffering. The peace is not just relinquishment of materialism to the mass majority
of us. Yes, we strive for it when skirmishes resurface in life but achieving it
by staying in contact with society is also a necessity.
·
The feeling that I must have done/committed some sin in
past as of which I’m facing this unbearable pain is the prime cause of unease. The other clichéd thing that all of us have
experienced and heard is the “expectations”. No matter how rich a person by
heart, draining of expectations causes penury. The biggest of all the anguish is caused when we feel
that God has done no justice to our good behavior towards others (karma). When
we commit something, we expect in return and it could we anything – including a
selfless prayer for others. Being a firm believer that if one stays away from
vanity, God will always be at our bay to protect us from cyclones. As cyclones
are natural happening, so does the mishappenings. Murphy’s law states ‘Anything
that can go wrong will go wrong’. So praying and hoping that if one pray and do
good and no harm will come upon him/her is the biggest illusion. Instead, seek strength from the Supreme Energy to face it upfront and bravery of a honey
badger. Don’t expect rewards; just perform your obligations with dignity and ask for more strength. Because this will make one more stronger instead of opting
for timid behavior of “why me?”
·
Realistic thinker often accepts death as a part
of life. As I did early commentatory on expectations but death is the least
expected of all. The main purpose for creating this conundrum is that same as
expectations, unexpectations are also hard to settle with sometimes. So what to
do then, it’s the choices that define our actions and with actions, be prepared
to handle the reaction of the universe. Life is not that simple and at the same
time not very complex. We as a human got to evolve/mature to a state of mind
where one has mastered/in the process of learning the art of sensible thinking i.e.
where to use our cognitive energy and where to stay calm and let life take
its course. Bearing the fruit of one’s labour doesn’t make one master of destiny.
A lot of things contributes to the process and when one does a detailed analysis
of it, the skepticism related to being an architect of life start becoming blur
and vanishes later on.
·
Lastly, other breachers of tranquility are
unsatisfaction and insecurities that runs through veins of almost every human. It
might sound funny but both of them are easy to overcome. During my school days I
wrote a quote – “Be comfortable, never satisfied”. If we start feeling satisfied
all the time no matter what the situation is, life becomes meaningless and
boring but at the same time if we are not comfortable with the place we are occupying
then it becomes miserable. So in simple terms be patient and comfortable but at the
same moment keep on looking for the avenue for growth. One got to get out of
comfort zone in order to achieve but still one got to feel spirited while doing
such an act. And insecurities start vanishing with achievements.
Hope
for the best, prepare for the worst.
In the end, gonna tell one thing
that life taught me is that – ‘ Never forget your hard times as they provide
hope to live’. Because if in future even high tides strike you will have your
own source of inspiration as being a survivor earlier and can make use of
withstanding experience to dampen the shocks.

peace, everything is at ease” - #RKD
